Welcome to the maths cafe!

I am Mrs B, mathematics teacher in Switzerland at the International School of Geneva, Campus des Nations.

I love maths! I find it captivating, exciting, confounding and awe inspiring.

(I also like baking!)

I made this website to share links to articles, websites and anything that can inspire people to enjoy the world of mathematics.

So get a cake & a cuppa, sit back, relax and enjoy some maths.

I teach the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, Diploma Programme, ASDAN and develop and implement personalised education plans for those not accessing mainstream.

I have two main areas of special interest:

- overcoming learning difficulties in mathematics, including dyscalculia

- overcoming mathematical anxiety and building mathematical resilience

I have pages on mathscsafe.net in constant development for my students with notes, homework and links to useful documents.

Each week I endeavor to upload the University of Waterloo's Problem of the Week. This is a fantastic challenge for students in years 6 to 13.

I support MATHSWORLDUK
MATHSWORLDUK  is a registered charity which aims to establish in the UK the First National Exploratorium of Mathematics. A dedicated place in the United Kingdom where you can go to experience the full joy, wonder and power of mathematics.

Please don't hesitate to contact me at

if you are a student or parent at the school.
